Just wanted to do some re-capping to what has been going on in my life the last few months. As most of you may know, that after doing my DTS in San Francisco I felt called to go back to the city and back to YWAM. And that is what I did, I went back and did an SOS. Spent my summer working with High School and College aged students that came to be with YWAM for a week on a missions trip with their church. What my job was, along with 9 other summer staff, is that we led these teams through the city doing different activities through the week. Some like, pray walking, hot chocolate evangelism, food bank, homeless sack lunch and many more. Through the week I got to spend time with these kids, getting to know them on a friendship level and also getting the chance to share Jesus's love with them. I would have to say my favorite part of the whole week is what we called, missions challenge. Missions Challenge is a night that we just allow the students to reflect on the week and what God has done. During this night we are in a room where there are different stations that they students are able to go to. Stations like: the cross (nailing your sins to the cross), glass mirrors (looking into them and asking God how he views you through his eyes and writing it on the mirrors), the world (there is a big tracing of the world that is put up on the wall and you are able to go and write who you have prayed for that week and what country your church has been praying for. and also write down some on the prayers you have said), foot washing (a place where you can wash someones feet that has really blessed you that week), journals (there are these journals that past teams have written in. you can write in them or you can read what other people have written in them), commitment (we also have these commitment cards that we put on the floor. and they are there if the students have yet to make a commitment to Christ they can do so) and quotes (we have these quotes that are being played on the screen. these quotes are from people like mother Teresa, spiderman and all the way to 2 pac).

And during all of this we have music that i being played. This night is just so powerful. Just being able to see these students feel Jesus in a whole new way that they may not have experienced him before. This whole summer all together was GREAT. I loved every minute of it. I learned so much this summer about who I really was and how God is in control of everything. And that I need to allow him to be in control and not only with the things that I want him to be in control of. One of the great things about doing SOS was that I got the chance to make so many new friends. Not just with the students that have came to YWAM for the week, but the people who did SOS with me. We grow so close to each other and it was hard to leave when the summer came to an end.
So with getting the chance to be a part of YWAM for 8 months I really grew to love it so much more then I already did. My passion for city grew so much, that when I left after summer, I really felt like I left my heart their. I just love that I can walk almost anywhere I need to go or hop onto a bus and go. I love the people on the streets. Yeah, they are homeless, but they are also people like

me and you. They have their own story of how they ended up on the streets or why they wants to be on the streets. And they don't mind sitting down and talking with you about their story. They are the most real and whole hearted people. With working with YWAM in San Francisco you really get to know the people on the streets where you know each others names and they know you are that person that works at YWAM across from Glide and we hand out juice. And that YWAM is a place that they know they are welcomed any time to come and hang out with us during our hours.
With lots of pray this summer I really felt like I was suppose to apply for staff with YWAM San Francisco, and that is what I did. In October I got a call saying that they would love for me to come and join them with coming on staff. At that point I couldn't not believe it, my dream was coming true with me getting the chance to move to a city that I have feel in love with. A place that I have left my heart. At that point I got started with getting newsletters and support letters out to support raise the money that I need to be able to go on staff with YWAM.
And that is where I am at right now. My goal was to be able to have all my monthly support to be able to go on staff on January 10th, but God has other plans for me, because that didn't work out. About a week ago I still need around $675 more a month and now I am at with only needing
$260 a month. God really has done some amazing things during this time with support raising. I have really had to learn how to trust God with my WHOLE heart. And that his plans are much bigger and better then any plans that I could think of.
Prayer Requests:
- That all my monthly support would come in so I would be able to make my way up to San Francisco. (Need
$260 more a month)
- Missions Adventures conference is in April in Germany. I need to by a plane ticket. So the found for that I need like
$1,000- That some more people would like support me on this next journey of mine. Either through prayer, one time gift or monthly.
If you would like to give towards me going on staff please let me know. You can also do it online at the website below that I have posted. You can sign up for monthly support online and or you can give a on time gift online.
